The Arcade
Vector-tube shooters and racers drawn the way old cabinets drew them: bright beams, bloom and phosphor glow. Play here, or download the desktop Cabinet Editions.
Nature & Reading
Gentle adventures for young explorers. Grow up as a ladybug, a frog or a monarch, raise an ant colony, grow into a giant beetle, march to the sea as a red crab, grow shell by shell as a lobster, howl with a wolf pack, grow up on the sea ice as a polar bear, shed your skin as a garter snake, drift through a year as a copepod, pulse your way to the bloom as a moon jelly, chase a storm — and read along the way.
Play anywhere
Every game runs in a modern browser on a laptop or tablet. Nothing to install. The arcade games look best with WebGL; they fall back to a simpler renderer if your device doesn't have it.
Nothing tracked
No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no cookies. These pages load nothing from any other website. Progress and high scores are saved only in your own browser.
Made for families
The nature games are written for young readers, with real facts about the animals and weather they explore, everything read aloud, and a grown-ups check before anything leaves the game.
For grown-ups
Read-aloud uses your device's own voices, so the text stays on the device. Anything that would leave the game asks a grown-up first, with a quick times-table question: the “See the real thing” links to YouTube or Wikipedia, and the optional microphone for “I read to play”. In Chrome or Edge, the microphone sends the child's voice to Google or Microsoft to turn it into words, so it stays off unless a grown-up turns it on.
Tell us what you think
Found a bug, got an idea, or your kids loved something? Grown-ups can send feedback through a short form on GitHub (a free GitHub account is needed). Every note gets read.
